We say goodbye to a treasured friend...
After a long battle with cancer, my close friend, mentor and trainer Rick Stevens passed away on October 8, 2011 in Providence, Rhode Island. There are no words to express how lost I feel without him to guide me with my endeavors. He was a horseman, a brother, a consummate professional and a true friend.

We're popping our buttons over Sarde's Insatiable!
In her first show season, the exceptional three year old mare Sarde's Insatiable proved to us that she loves to show and is destined for greater things. After a strong fourth in her first class ever at the 2011 New England Regional with Rick Stevens, Insatiable made the big trip west to Oklahoma City and achieved the title of Reserve Grand National Champion Three Yr Old Pleasure Driving Mare with Anne Benson on the lines. We are very proud of this daughter of the WC sire Minion Millennium and our irreplaceable Joan Rose.

"Some of my best leading men have been dogs and horses." --Elizabeth Taylor
It seems fitting to say goodbye to a grand boxer, Apollo, with a quote from a grand lady who also passes during the month of March. After fighting the battle for his life with chronic kidney disease, we said farewell to Apollo on March 1st, 2011. He will be missed by his canine and human friends alike.

WE'RE SO EXCITED: It was a grand evening of beautiful foals and talented trainers at the 2010 Morgan Weanling Gala event at the New England Regional Morgan Horse Show! We were tickled that our two foals by KDS Star Wars presented very well and represented Sarde Morgans as a breeder of World quality prospects. Our two entries were very capably trained and under the direction of Anne Benson of Anne Benson Stables and Rick Stevens of Stonegate.
Finishing in sixth was the elegant filly Sarde's Delicious (KDS Star Wars x Sarde's Victoria Anne), and placing ninth was Sarde's Getup Standup (KDS Star Wars x Treble's Tainted Love), an outstanding bay colt. Special thanks to Phil Fountain for assisting Rick Stevens and Anne Benson with these two exceptional foals.

Sarde's Wiseguy is her first foal and he is positively stunning! Soiree is currently on our sales list, and of course that means you could have been making this announcement on YOUR website! |

Our first foals of 2010 have arrived! We are no less than thrilled by the arrival of a gorgeous bay filly on May 6 by WC Mizrahi, out of WC Stonecroft Shalimar. This is a full sister to our beloved Joan Rose, who we lost last year. Sarde's Gypsy Rose (pictured left) has big hooves to fill, and we are sure she'll have no trouble doing so. |

Goodbye, my friend: After finally coming home from his life adventures, our much loved friend and championship partner Shaker's Pedro crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on March 8, 2010. We know he is trotting through Heaven's pastures with his many friends who've gone before him. You will be missed... |
